Wole Awolola
Born into a musical family where both parents and 4 siblings are all singers, Wole grew up singing from as early as he can remember in his father's church choir and ultimately become the music director at the age of 16. That passion grew exponentially when he relocated to England such that he pursued earnestly to improve his singing skill with many years of singing lessons. He also became self-taught in song writing, composition and arrangement, gleaning many skills from all the other gospel greats he calls his mentors, including his dad, Ayewa Music, Fred Hammond, Commissioned, Boys II Men, and many more. His journey as a gospel recording artist began in 2007 with the release of his 3-track EP titled, Let Everything, which landed him an African Gospel Music Awards nomination for best newcomer. He has since gone on to win many awards, including Gospel Touch Best Gospel artist UK 2018, triple winner GMA Europe Gospel awards 2024 for best performance, Best song and Best Male Artist, and PGMA 2010 Best Male vocalist. Now with many other singles to his name, Wole has become a recognised and respected name in the UK gospel music scene. He is blessed with a most amazing wife and 2 wonderful children.
